The New People Manager Training is a one-day in-company training where we will train your people to be a successful people manager.

You have a strong account manager. You are happy with his/her performance. The relation with the customer is great and targets are met. It is time for a promotion and to make the role a bit heavier he or she is given a direct report. And then all of a sudden, things change. The account manager starts to struggle. The direct report is not happy… A pity for everyone involved!
Although some people know by nature how to manage a direct report, most people just deserve a proper training before starting this new exciting chapter in their career.
Berna Schoonderwoerd and Kim van Wijk - Hermus have developed a one-day (in-company) training for the new people managers in your organization. Your employees will be exposed to relevant theories like effective listening skills, successful coaching and learn to work with basics like: effective 1:1’s, goal setting, how to set-up a development plan for your direct report, feedback conversations etc. They will get helpful tips and tricks and will practice intensively in break-out groups. To make sure that the content is integrated in their daily work routine, there will be a 1:1 follow-up with all participants after 2 months.
Berna Schoonderwoerd
has 15 years of experience in HR, with a specialization in learning & development. After 13 years at P&G and Coty Berna is now successfully working as HR Interim manager & trainer.
Kim van Wijk – Hermus
has 18 years of experience in Marketing, Sales and General Management. She has been leading teams for the last 16 years and has led an organisation of 65 people in her last role as General Manager at Coty Luxury Benelux. She is seen and recognized as a true people manager and extensively trained in this area. Kim started recently as Executive Consultant and Coach.
The combination of Berna and Kim gives a dynamic approach to the training of both HR theory and examples from real-life.
Practical information
This training is an overall introduction to coaching for people managers. On request we could also focus on specific areas.
The training is most effective for groups of 8-12 people.
Training can be in Dutch or English.
